The voice of my Beloved!
Behold, He cometh

Leaping upon the mountains,
Skipping across the fields.

My Beloved spake, and said unto me,

“Rise up, my love, my fair one,
And come away.
For I will make a new thing.

I will make all things beautiful.
For, lo, the winter is past,

The rain is over and gone;
The old is made new.

The flowers appear on the earth;

The time of the singing of birds is come,
And the cooing of doves is heard in our land;
Rejoice, my love!

The plum tree putteth forth her green plums,
And the vines with the tender grape give a good smell.

I will clothe thee with glory as I clothe the iris of the wood.

Cast off thy old garments of despair and gloom
And take on the joy of My heart.
Abide thou in me
For I have loved thee with an everlasting love.

Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.
And I will show thee more great and mighty things of which thou knewest not.”

May the joy and delicate beauty of earth’s springtime and budding summer awaken newness of life in our hearts. May that life continue all year through. For with our Lover, there will always be springtime.
