Do you ever preach at yourself? For myself, it often tends to be more effective than having someone else do it for me. Not long ago, I found myself in the depths of discouragement and hopelessness. Months without answers reached a climax. In my desperation, I began telling myself the words I wished someone else would speak to me. I typed them up as fast as they came. Then I read them over. God had clearly spoken! That’s where restoration began for me. Yes, God is faithful!

A hike without a trail
A climax with no resolution
A song missing the last note
An essay without a thesis
A painting with unmixed colors
A chapter missing a page
A puzzle missing the last piece
Life doesn’t always make sense.
It can be pointless, confusing, and uncomfortable.
At the moment, it may be bland and disappointing.
BUT ONE DAY
Your difficult hike will be rewarded with a glorious view…
The Author will resolve your climax…
That last note will blend in matchless harmony bringing a sweet ending…
The Writer will reveal your life’s thesis and unify the script…
The Artist will blend all those blinding colors into a soothing scene…
The missing page will be discovered…
And that last puzzle piece will be found, completing a satisfying picture…
Yet all in God’s own time.

One day, your questions will be answered and your troubles erased.
But until that day, keep holding on to the One in control.
Seek joy, because it is available for claiming.
Believe that promises will be fulfilled,
Even though nothing proves them true right now.
Your life was not meant to be easy.
It was not meant to make sense.
Your life was not intended to be perfected here on earth.
That will occur when Christ returns for His bride.
You are His precious one.
He watches over you with jealousy.
He anticipates the day that He can
Invite you into eternal bliss.
He longs to make you understand,
But because you are human,
Because you were born in a sinful world,
Because you live an earthly life—
Therefore
You cannot fully understand His ways.
Each missing page, note, and puzzle piece
Has a purpose.
The more we seek, the more precious is the finding.
The more bitter the trial, the sweeter the victory.
One day, you will be set free.
You cannot give up.
Keep on hiking, even if you feel lost.
God sees your destiny.
Keep on singing, even if the music is missing.
He will provide the harmony.
Keep on painting, even though life is a mess.
The Artist will perform His part.
He will do it in His time.
He can.
He will.
He is.
You have purpose in this life right now.
You are being taught and molded and tested for a greater purpose
Than you imagine.

Are you frantically searching for that missing page?
Or are you already attempting to write your own?
Slow down.
Remember that God writes the best stories
And your job is to forget about figuring it out.
As you tramp through tangles in life,
Just let God do His work and follow His leading
Every step of the way.
His path will lead to life that is far from perplexing.
His life is free, blessed, joyous, and fulfilling.
And one day, you can experience such bliss
Forever.
Just don’t give up now.
I’m glad you preached to yourself and then shared it! I needed to hear this today.
Bits I love:
“The more we seek, the more precious is the finding.”
“Keep on singing, even if the music is missing.
He will provide the harmony.”

Hi, Rynelle! The encouragement and hope shown in this, is inspiring. The ending is a good reminder. May we never forget God is in control of our lives and we don’t have to understand everything. We just have to trust – and press on in faith. Thanks!
